Popular Misconcetions about Art of Studying Art

Okay this topic it’s very troubled, I’m desagree with the misconception about of studying arts. First, the people think that this degree it’s easy, but isn’t. Another misconception is, when you finish arts you’ll very poor and live under bridge with the rats – I always laugh with this – An artist can live like a normal person, why not?...okay not like a rich.

My parents say that my art it’s so sad – I work with the pain and suffering- And sometimes they think that the people hate my paintings, but I see when the people look my work and they feel those pain.  I feel intimidated when people –people that know about arts- look my work and they think that I’m a weird  or depressive person, I don’t think that be negative, but sometimes those words disturb me.

Another misconception and this makes me feel angry, the artist make everything, and everything it’s free, every work that we make it’s expensive, we use time, material, money. You don’t say a doctor: “Hey! give me this medicine free” or “I want this operation free, because I’m a human and we need to live” it’s not impossible, but it’s a example.

This happen because the people don’t know about arts and don’t exist a real interest of study for the misconcention.
